This policy covers the Algarj Insight app and website, published by Mohamed Algarj. Reading is open; participation is optional.
Reading and participation
You can read without an account. To participate, we process your display name, account identifier and sign-in information, including email, to verify and protect your account. We store your comments, reactions, saved posts, follows and reports to run and moderate the community. Your display name and approved comments are public; your email is not.
Usage data
Reading preferences and saved articles stay on your device. We collect first-party visit measurements, including pseudonymous identifiers, pages, referral source, country, language and time. Public counters show aggregate visits and an anonymous visitor number for your browser or app installation. Article editions share their count. Operational logs may include IP addresses, browser or device information and cookies to run and secure the service. We do not sell your data, use advertising or cross-app tracking, or request your contacts or precise location.
Notifications
Article alerts and publisher messages require your permission. Device and installation identifiers, language, preferences, connection information and send results are processed to deliver them through Apple and Google. Opening the app marks article alerts as seen and resets the icon badge. Turn notifications off in the app or phone settings. Deregistration requires an internet connection; uninstalling alone does not erase all notification records.
Supporting services
Hosting, sign-in and notification providers process the data needed for their services, which may take place outside your country. When embedded social content loads or you open external links, those services’ privacy policies also apply.
Retention and deletion
Community data remains until you delete it or request deletion. We may retain a pseudonymous identifier for a suspended account to prevent abuse; some logs and backups remain under providers’ retention schedules. Delete your contributions and community data from your account. To delete your sign-in record too, contact us from your account email. You can clear reading data on your device and request access, correction or deletion of your data.
